Kuala Lumpur Cultural Centre: Past Present Future

Kuala Lumpur city has undergone a remarkable transformation since its early day as a mining town in the mid-19th century. Today, it is the capital of Malaysia with a fast-growing population and economic development. However, the development had come at the expense of downtown KL’s historical core. People are gradually moving out from the old city centre due to the transformation of the core in administration, commercial and residential centres to other districts.

Therefore, to avoid locals losing connection and curiosity to the historical and cultural centre, my Kuala Lumpur Cultural Centre project aims to record KL’s local art & craft stories and explore the future of tradition with the current technologies to form a new soul in Downtown KL.
