Community City: Study Area Experience Zone

Community cities designed to optimize learning and communication by blending experience zone and study area, structured in a cochlea-like form.

Just as sound vibrations pass through the cochlea, in these cities, interactions in designated areas trigger a similar effect, transmitting experiences and knowledge to the central hub for collective learning. This concept essentially mimics the process of 'ear zone excitation' within the cityscape, where information flows through different zones, stimulating learning and communication.

Play and Sign

Spatial purpose is to promote learning of sign language and facial expressions through interactive games. Incorporating reflective materials into the design provides users with opportunities for repeated practice to enhance their learning experience. This approach can significantly improve public understanding of sign language and facial expressions by making it engaging and providing ample opportunities for practice.

Deaf Interactive Space – Mute City

In response to the growing isolation of the deaf community within our bustling society, a space is envisioned as a bridge—a place where both the hearing impaired and the public converge to dissolve the language barrier. This space aims to foster understanding, rebuild confidence, and illuminate the lives of the hearing impaired to the wider public.

By delving into the specific needs and characteristics of the hearing impaired, we can craft an inclusive and enduring space—one that offers sustainable accessibility. This understanding serves as the foundation for creating welcoming spaces that truly benefit the hearing impaired community."

Design Concept

Drawing inspiration from the intricate nature of the cochlear sense, the design incorporates intersecting lines symbolizing the dynamic transmission of sound—an ever-evolving exchange. Beyond aesthetics, the intention is to seamlessly blend this concept into the environment, allowing the public to feel a shared connection and resonance with the hearing impaired. Through this design, a dialogue between both worlds is fostered, enabling a deeper understanding of the unique attributes of the hearing impaired.

Community City:
Experience Zone

The space design for public can immerse themselves in visual experiences that mimic the sensory focus of individuals with hearing impairments. By simulating the visual exposure required by the hearing-impaired, the design intends to enhance everyone's ability to concentrate on the content of conversations during communication. This immersive visual environment not only fosters better focus on conversation content but also cultivates a sense of security and inclusivity among all individuals.
